FLAKING and SHREDDING MILLS

Ludman Machine Company offers a modern line of heavy-duty flaking mills designed to insure maximum efficiency with minimum maintenance based on the Allis Chalmers design.  Ludman realizes that the modern day flaking mill application incorporates high bearing loads and feed capacity.

The type of mill used for any specific application is an important determining factor in the economical production of a high quality flaked material.  The high flaking pressures demanded of a great many materials requires machinery designed of heavy and sturdy construction.  Lightweight flaking mills, although less costly initially, are more expensive to maintain and eventually show their true cost in requiring excessive and frequent roll and bearing replacement.

Typical flaking applications include but are not limited to: Flaking Cereal, Soybeans, Germ Meal, Cottonseed, Rolled Oats, Grains for Animal Feed, Salt, Nitrocellulose, Doughs (embossing, laminating), and Guar Seed.
